Melange

Melange is a small painting (16 X 16 "), using a new process. Previously, I cut my "palette" paintings into triangles manipulating the linear direction when placing/affixing the triangles onto the surface.

Here, I have moved directly to the linear movement by cutting the "palette" paintings into linear pieces. I think of the cut linear pieces as brush strokes.

When starting this painting there was no planning. Each "linear cut brush stroke" was placed and the next "linear cut brush stroke" was placed in response, and so on.
